BIBLE STUDY TOPIC FOR WOMEN (LESSONS TO LEARN FROM MARY AND MARTHA) LUKE 10:38-42.

Mary and Martha were sisters to Lazarus a very close friend of Jesus. When he came to the house of Mary and Martha Mary sat at the feet of Christ listening to his preaching while Martha was busy in the kitchen.martha reported Mary to Jesus for Jesus to reprove her instead Christ told her that Mary was actually right.

Many young women are usually caught up with their kitchen duties that they barely have time for the word of God. Some are doing the right thing at the wrong time like Martha, she actually wasn’t wrong for trying to cook food for them to eat but that was the wrong moment for that because Christ wasn’t going to stay in their house forever and his teachings were needful, she could have sat down with Mary and listen but she didn’t instead she was distracted and thought that Christ was going to accept her decision to be in the kitchen.
As women you should be able to learn to juggle your kitchen,home and spiritual responsibilities and should balance the equation because you must learn to be in God’s presence at the right time.

How to overcome obstacles
The story of Mary and Martha is a typical definition of how many Christian women are, we should try as much as possible to be as Mary who knew the worth and importance of Jesus messages and knee that she should not miss out on it. She could probably go back to the kitchen and join her sister Martha in what she was doing in there but Martha cannot get back the message Mary listened to. So we should be careful and led by the holy Spirit to know what to do and when to do it, we should try to live our lives in a way that will be pleasant to Christ which is the ultimate.
